FPGA Bootprom AT17Cxx

Please observe the general advice concerning:

FPGA Bootproms

Position of optional Data in Data Buffer

The Reset Polarity settings data is stored in one byte immediately after the last data address in the device. For example, in the AT17C128 this would be the address 4000h. Another example would be the AT17C256, in which case the address would be 8000h.

The value 00h stands for OE Low - and RESET High-active.

The value FFh stands for OE High - and RESET Low-active.

Delete

It is not necessary to erase the device before programming it, yet the option to erase the device exists. When erasing the device the data memory is programmed with the "empty pattern" FFh and the reset polarity is set to OE Low - and RESET High-active.
