LPT options

The dialog box for editing LPT settings allows you to adjust important parameters for running the program.


LPT Port address

Allows you to select or enter the parallel port address to be used to communicate with GALEP.

Test Galep

Click this button to test the parallel port connection.^*1)

Test LPT Reliability

Click this button to check if a third party driver/software interupts the parallel port communicaton between Galep Software and GALEP.^*1)

Reset

Click this button to reset all settings to default state.

Auto Delay Find

Click this checkbox to activate/deactivate this function. In activated state ( standard ) the Galep 32 software determine on Start automatic the values for DelayBeforeStrobe, DelayBeforeRead and DelaySafetyMargin for as fast as possible, but safe operating mode. In deactivated state the software use shown values, that can be optimized manually. After changing these values you should always to execute the Test Galep and Test LPT Reliability.

^*1) The GALEP should be connected to the selected parallel port and the power supply unit either should be plugged into the mains current at your workplace or a storage battery should be loaded in the GALEP.
