UV Atlas mapping  C

The atlas mapping tool creates an optimal, non-overlapping UV skin mapping without the manual processes required for a 2-sided or 6-sided mapping.

New Skin Creates a new skin for the atlas mapping. Otherwise the mapping is applied to the last atlas-mapped skin.
Resample Skin Resamples existing skins to adapt it to the new mapping. Otherwise an empty skin is created.

Skin Size The width and height of the new skin.
Maximum Charts The mesh is automatically divided into separate sections - charts - if necessary. For instance, a cylinder can be mapped by one chart; a sphere on the other hand will require at least two charts. Set this value to the maximum number of charts (0 = unlimited).
Maximum Stretch The amount of stretch will determine the number of charts that are generated, and the overall quality of the sampling. Stretch ranges from 0.0 (no stretch) to 1.0 (any amount of stretch). The more stretch, the less charts are required for the mapping.
Gutter Width The gutter width is the amount of separation between the charts, and allows for bilinear interpolation and mip-mapping to avoid rendering artifacts at chart boundaries.

Calculate Mapping Begins the mapping process. Depending on the complexity of the model, this might take several seconds up to minutes.
Abort Aborts the mapping process.
Ok/Exit Closes the panel.
